Adult Appalachia Service Project this fall

CUCC friends Bill and Rosemary Pate lead long-weekend adults-only trips to repair homes in Appalachia.  They have just set their fall schedule.  If you'd like more information, contact Jane Smith and I'll give you their email and phone.

"Many Appalachian families live in homes that are not warm (holes in walls and doors), safe (collapsing floors) or dry (leaking roofs).  This is in an area where winters are harsh and resources are few.  Join a group of volunteers working to make life a bit easier for our brothers and sisters in one of the poorest sections of our country.  No special skills or tools needed --- only a servant heart.

October 11- 14  Brenton, West Virginia.  Travel Thursday, work Friday and Saturday,  return home on Sunday. Volunteer Fee is $130 . Scholarships are available.

November 12- 18  Jonesville, Virginia.  Travel on Monday, work Tuesday through Saturday, return home Sunday. Volunteer Fee is $ 325.  Scholarships  are available."
