CUCC was recently certified by the
National Wildlife Federation as a “Certified Wildlife Habitat.” To achieve that certification, CUCC had to demonstrate that our church grounds provide multiple food sources for wildlife as well as water, places for cover and areas to raise young. CUCC also had to document our sustainable gardening practices, which include collecting rain water in three rain barrels, eliminating chemical fertilizers and creating a composting process.
The certification process was led by Vandy Bradow and is proudly proclaimed via a sign on the light pole in the Dixie Trail parking lot.
