Event 2: Maria Mayorga was born in Nicaragua and immigrated to the US in the late 80’s as a young child with her family. After several years she was able to return and now visits regularly with her own husband, Jason, and daughters. She returns to Nicaragua to visit her large extended family and also to familiarize her daughters with their heritage. Maria will review a bit of her life story, share family albums, share pictures of the many places they have visited and share information about cultural norms and traditions.
A discussion will follow the slide presentation. Nicaraguan Coffee will be served and baked treats will be for sale.
