Senior Adult Activities

CUCC Religious Education Ministry is offering quarterly opportunities for senior adults to gather together and explore cultural and educational events in our community.

The first of these outings will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 11. We’ll enjoy a guided tour through the JC Raulston Arboretuma nationally acclaimed garden with one of the largest and most diverse collections of landscape plants adapted for landscape use in the Southeast. We have a one hour guided tour scheduled, although it could go longer if there are a lot of questions.

The arboretum has been improving their paths for years and the grounds are relatively easy to walk. All locations are readily visited by people with walkers and there's an abundance to see for those in wheelchairs.

This event is free of charge.
Other outings will include such venues as
· a visit to an art exhibit
· viewing a matinee film
· attending a program at the City of Raleigh Senior Center
· taking in a theater production.

To register for the Arboretum tour, or for more information, please contact Śānti Matthews at or 919-961-8814.
