I don’t know about you but I’m trying to figure out where summer went. Sure it is still here, but one minute it was June 1 and now school will be starting soon. Time is absolutely flying by!
I hope you have marked your calendars for Saturday, August 15 at 6:30 in Vaughn Fellowship Hall for Heritage Fun Night! Your Transition Team has been working hard on this Heritage Part of the Intentional Interim Journey (IIJ) by offering weekly Heritage moments to tell you about the church and this will be a fun way to share your knowledge and learn more! And if that isn’t enough enticement to come, there will be ICE CREAM!!!! Please join us.
You may ask why it is important to look the church’s heritage because you’ve looked at it before. This is helping those of us who just arrived to know about the church we’ve chosen to attend. And we are hearing good things about who we are and how we got here.
If you have been in church before, you are now part of the history of CUCC. AND we hope you will be part of the future. As we head into the Mission Piece of the Intentional Interim Journey in October, we will look at the past but we will are moving toward focusing on the future. That is truly what this process is about – to prepare for the future.
