Adult and student volunteers needed at Teen Court

At the social justice meeting on December 3rd we heard about an important volunteer opportunity with the Capital Area Teen Court. John and I went to the court house Tuesday evening to observe a court room with an adult judge but all other participants, lawyers, bailiffs, jurors, and defendants are young people. The sanctions against the first offenders who admit guilt for the offense include community service, serving jury duty and attend a educational group.

Adult volunteers are needed to be judges, jury monitor or exit interviewer. Students can be a bailiff,  on the jury, or an attorney. The next court date is January 16,
