HKonJ

As some of you may already know the Annual Moral March and HK on J People's Assembly is coming up on February 10 in Downtown Raleigh! Since 2007, when Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II first organized the March, thousands of people have come together in support of the NAACP as they continue to work toward Racial, Economic, and Environmental Justice, Women's and LGBTQ rights, Immigrant Justice, access to health care, criminal justice reform, an end to Islamophobia, and many other endeavors. I hope you'll be able to come and show that Raleigh and North Carolina means business! In 2017 80,000 people showed up to March, we can beat that right?

Gathering is set to begin at 8:30 a.m at the corner of Wilmington and South Street near Shaw University.

A pre-March rally will be going on from 9-10 at which point the March will begin! CUCC members and family members are invited to meet at the McDonalds at 105 E. South Street at 9:30 AM. A perfect place to fuel up and meet up if you ask me!

The route is as follows: head North on Wilmington for about four blocks. We turn left on Martin and then right on Fayetteville. We will end up in front of the State Capitol where a post March rally will continue.

When we first started talking about Just Show Up we spoke about the intersectionality of movements and how supporting one can uplift others that share a common goal. This is a perfect opportunity to show up for our entire community and to uplift those who need it most! I hope to see you there.

Also, there's a youth fundraiser lunch again at Jersey Mike's at 2712 Hillsborough Street after the march. 20% of all purchases go to CUCC Youth Programming.
