A big “thank you” to the 14 volunteers who turned up for the Oct. 27 work day, as well as the many folks who took care of items on the “to do” list before and after the 27th. Mold and mildew were removed from the exterior of the church, storage shed and Pilgrim House; a new mulch walkway was created along the shed; light covers were removed and cleaned in the Fellowship Hall or replaced if broken or yellowed; old light fixtures were removed from the exterior of the church; the roofs were blown clean; windows were washed throughout the building; ceiling tiles were repaired and a stain painted over in the sanctuary ceiling; the last of the LED bulbs were installed in the main building; bushes were trimmed and pine straw was swept up; benches around the church grounds were power washed and are in the process of being restained. That’s just a portion of the list!
If you missed the work day and would like to take on a project as your time allows, please contact Property Ministry co-chairs Skip Stoddard (919-827-2346) or Merrilee Jacobson (919-274-4539).
