2020 Stewardship Campaign: Pledge Sunday is November 10

Pledges of financial support make up the more than 85% of our annual budget, account for more than a quarter of a million dollars to support our staff, maintain or building and grounds, operate our education programs, worship and celebrate community together, as well as donate to local charities and causes that do God’s work outside our sanctuary. It is important to know what congregation members plan to give next year when we develop our annual budget. The fall congregational meeting is on November 17, and the stewardship ministry asks for pledges to be made on November 10.

There are several ways to communicate your pledge:
·        Bring your pledges to worship and place them in the offering plate.
·        Complete a pledge card from the back of the sanctuary and place it in the offering plate.
·        Fill out this Google Form.
·        Tell Bill Lamb, Jeanne Ledbetter, or Jason Myers what you are pledging, in person, over the phone, or by email. (Sorry but we cannot yet communicate via the Force or with smoke signals.)
·        Mail the pledge card or simple note to the Church Office at 814 Dixie Trail, Raleigh, NC 27607.

In addition to your financial pledges, Stewardship is also collecting Time and Talent Surveys to find out what you all might want to explore participating in CUCC’s varied ministries. Please bring or send your survey as well. Surveys will be available at worship in the coming Sundays, or print this one.

A letter with more information about the stewardship campaign, our budget, and the importance of pledges was sent to members by mail earlier this month. The letter and other materials are also posted to the CUCC website. We’ve heard that a few folks received an incorrect pledge card. We apologize for the error. Please find a new card in the back of the sanctuary or at the above website address. However, a simple note on a small piece of paper works just as well. The most important thing is that you are an active participant and that you prayerfully consider your commitments for the coming year as we welcome a new settled pastor and recommit to being a caring community that nurtures spiritual growth and works for social justice.
