At the Congregational Meeting this Sunday (January 26), we will adopt a balanced budget for this year. Stewardship appreciates the generosity of the members of Community United Church of Christ. To date, we’ve received approximately $245,000 in pledges for 2020, from about 70 different families. During last fall’s congregational meeting, we presented a goal budget that would have required about $275,000 in pledges.
Unfortunately, the Stewardship Ministry’s current draft budget still needs about $15,000 more in pledges to balance. Our hope is that we will be able to receive additional and increased pledges to make this budget. If we do not, several activities will have to be scaled back, including:
- A new CUCC Website
- Composting Service
- Community Outreach Ministry
- Do Justice Ministry
- Resources for Property Ministry
- Religious Education Ministry’s Programs for Adults
- Savings into Our Rainy-Day Fund
