Our speaker will be Chris Fitzsimon, Director of States Newsroom.
Chris was the founder and Executive Director of NC Policy Watch. States Newsroom exists to provide a relentless stream of quality reporting and commentary that helps sustain a vibrant democracy. It was launched to create entities like NC Policy Watch in other states.
The CSJ Social Justice Award will be presented to Ms. Ana Ilarraza-Blackburn. Ms. Ilarraza-Blackburn is a strong, empowered Latina; who serves as the North Carolina Tri-Chair for the Poor People’s Campaign, and as the first state Latino Immigrant Liaison for the North Carolina NAACP.
