A big “thank you” to the enthusiastic group of volunteers who turned up for the September church work day!
We filled six large trash cans with storm debris and pruned bushes, removed 20+-year-old carpet from two staff offices, painted the pastors’ office and hallway door, cleaned windows, cupboard doors and tabletops, scraped and primed peeling paint above three windows, installed new parking signs in the Wake Avenue lot, defrosted the back-up fridge to address a leak, spread pine straw and generally got the church buildings and grounds in great shape for Welcome Sunday. We were joined by four Boy Scouts who made some improvements to the recently installed split rail fence next to the Pilgrim House. The energy was palpable!
Please mark your calendar for the final 2019 work day on November 9.
If you’d like a project in the meantime, please contact Property Ministry Chairperson Merrilee Jacobson at 919-274-4539.
