The trees we planted Earth week will have an additional benefit in addressing climate change… reducing the need for air conditioning. As the climate gets hotter, the need for AC increases, which uses more electricity which (if generated from fossil fuels), which causes the climate to get hotter. Trees offer communities evaporative cooling, reducing the local temperature.
