May Life & Faith - Tuesday, May 7, 2019, 6:30pm

May topic:  What stories have you told yourself to make sense of a time when you left people you love or they left you?

Each of us has chosen to leave loved ones to go somewhere else:  to college, a new job, married life in a new town, retiring closer to children.  Each of us has been left by people who have made those choices.  We take the facts and what we know about our loved ones, and look for patterns in our lives to create a story.  That story informs how we will act going forward and how we remember the relationship.  Sometimes those stories are filled with love, and sometimes they are empty, broken stories. What are your stories of leaving and being left?  How has your faith informed the stories you tell?

May location:  Wilson's Eatery, 1053 E. Whitaker Mill Road in Raleigh

Life & Faith in Raleigh is an informal and fluid gathering for anyone who shows up.  As we sip our beverages of choice (Dutch treat), we swap stories and questions about how we each are seeking to better connect what we believe with what we do day-to-day. Arrive at 6:30 if you want a meal; conversation runs from 7-8.  Come.  Bring a friend.  You'll find us at the table with the red Life and Faith comma.
