August 18 worship was BYC-style led by our youth. It examined Exodus, the focus of our summer youth camp this year.

As we explore these stories, we recognize that we all carry the baggage of our plagues endured, our strength tested, our heartbreaks suffered. And sometimes, after a time, we break through our own egos and others’ attempts at control. We arrive at our promised land, our freedom and we look around with fresh eyes. We understand anew what’s being asked of us. New work begins.

Photos from worship

Can you name your Pharaoh? Name what your oppressor has been? What attitude has gripped your mind? What grief has owned your heart? What can you name as your oppressor with the intention of letting it go?
