Wright Center Meal

Wright Center Meal

Like to cook and/or serve people? Community Outreach and The Helen Wright Center could use your help. Cook part of the meal (main dish, veg, or dessert) serving 40. Or serve the meal (6:30-8PM). A good family (or pair of families) service project.

The Wright Center is a ministry of Urban Ministries of which CUCC was a co-founder. This small, intimate shelter is a great place for families to volunteer and for children to learn that helping other people is fun. Many CUCC children have grown up cooking and serving a meal annually. The Helen Wright Center serves women who are homeless. It is located in downtown Raleigh.

The Helen Wright Center Program goes beyond providing a safe place to sleep, offering professional assistance in attaining goals of health care, education, employment, and stable housing. Contact Dawn Koonce or Charles Coble to learn more or volunteer.
