Ministry in the community you can do from home

Adrienne Little shares these two opportunities being advertised by Congregations for Social Justice.  We can be the church wherever we are.

1 - Take the Wake Bus Rapid Transit: Southern Corridor Survey! from Het Patel, Senior Transit Planner, City of Raleigh Department of Transportation, <het.patel@raleighnc.gov>
In January 2019, the planning phase of implementing BRT along the Southern Corridor began with a study to help select the preferred route. This work will build upon the Southern Gateway Corridor Study completed in 2017 and the Wake Transit Plan Major Investment Study completed in 2018. The Wake BRT: Southern Corridor will connect downtown Raleigh with the North South Station and Purser Drive in Garner.

We would like your feedback and thoughts! Please take the short survey for Wake BRT: Southern Corridor. The survey will be open until March 20, 2020.

For more information about the project, visit the Bus Rapid Transit page!

Questions? Contact Het Patel, Senior Transit Planner, City of Raleigh Department of Transportation, by email at het.patel@raleighnc.gov or by phone at 919-996-5120.

2 - Wake County Consolidated Plan Drafts for 30-Day Review from Chris Whitenhill <chris.whitenhill@wakegov.com.>
The County has completed drafts of their One-Year Action Plan, Five-year Consolidated Plan, Citizen Participation Plan, and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice.

These plans and analyses are open for review to the public and available for receiving public comments until March 30th, 2020, end of day. We then will make any necessary edits and submit the drafts for County Board approval in April. Afterwards, we will submit the Consolidated Plan to HUD in May.

The documents are available at here. Please share this information with you organizations and anyone interested. Please also submit all comments with ‘Comment for County Plan’ in the subject line to my email address, chris.whitenhill@wakegov.com.
