As Christians we are called to visit and bring good news to the captives and to welcome the stranger. Currently CUCC’s Do Justice Ministry is working toward these goals on immigration, especially visiting with Eliseo who is in Sanctuary at Umstead Park UCC, and on prison reform, especially to have bail bond reform.
We were elated to learn that our new pastor’s partner Jordyne Krumroy has extensive experience with immigration captivity at Stewart Detention Center in Georgia.
Jordyne has agreed to join us at our next Do Justice meeting on June 28 to tell us of her experience and to begin to see how working together, CUCC can be even more faithful and effective.
Join us in our Zoom meeting at Noon on June 28. Contact Gary Smith for Zoom details (smithgk@mindspring.com).
