Here is a description of the Advent study being led by Pastor Lacey.
Join your CUCC friends and Pastor Lacey for a Thursday night Advent book study. We will be reading The First Christmas: What the Gospels Really Teach About Jesus's Birth by Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan. This book provides us with an opportunity to see our familiar Christmas narrative with new eyes.
The book is written in three parts and so we will meet on three Thursdays during December. The schedule is as follows:
December 3 at 7:00pm, We will discuss Part 1: Parable, Overture, and Context
December 10 at 7:00pm, We will discuss Part 2: Geneaology, Conception, and Birth
December 17 at 7:00pm, We will discuss Part 3: Light, Fulfillment, and Joy
